For over 18 years, I worked for a Hattiesburg-based telecommunications – known first as CellularONE of South Mississippi and as MegaGate Broadband, Inc since 2003. My various roles within the company provided experience in a variety of areas. These included:
- human resources
- customer service
- training and development
- quality assurance
- event coordination
- accounting and collections
- social media
My overall goal is to strive to ensure that my best is always given to any project.
- SHRM volunteer
- Social Media

I believe that each of us have a gift. Something special. Something that just comes naturally for us and just is easy to do. It is something that is like second nature. I have always known that I liked to create…brainstorm…see the big picture. Better yet….tell the story of how that picture came to be.
Association with the Pine Belt Human Resources Association (formerly South Mississippi SHRM) opened the door to becoming a longtime volunteer for SHRM serving in various leadership positions on both the Local Chapter and State Council levels. I am a social media advocate and it’s power to transform people and organizations. I currently serve as the Co-Social Media Director for Mississippi SHRM and the Social Media Director for the PBHRA. I’ve also written for the MegaGate blog.
My passion is writing and creating content. I joined the ranks of the HR Blogging community with my blog, HR to WHO in 2012. The blog continues to provide an outlet for expressing creativity and provides a home to my online voice. My work has been featured on SocialMediaToday.com and I’ve written guest posts for various other sites/blogs.
My social media adoption was fairly early placing me in positions that allowed me to create and maintain accounts for MegaGate, MSSHRM, Pine Belt HRA and others. I’m currently researching Social Media in HR and Personal Branding.
Performance I Create
I’ve reached a point in my life where I can appreciate the things I’ve learned from others and pass those lessons on to the next generation. I enjoy technology and am eager to experience my continued growth – both personal and professional. I officially joined the Performance I Create team in October 2014 and remained with them until October 2015.
I am open to continuing collaborative efforts with other group blogs.
Doctor Who Podshock
Louis Trapani, lead host of Doctor who Podshock, asked me to join the Podshock Crew in late 2014. Since that time, it has been my honor to participate in every show – especially the 10th anniversary celebration!
Discussing Who is another (partly) Doctor Who related website/podcast launched in 2016. I’m joined by a Clarence Brown and fellow Podshock co-host, Lee Shackleford. The worlds of comic books, science fiction, and Doctor Who collide within the Discussing Who podcast!
Thank you for taking time to read this blog. It is appreciated more than you know!
HR to WHO began in 2012 as a blogging experiment. Now, years have passed and it is still going forward. I thank everyone who has read, commented, discussed, and inspired me along the way. I write because I love to make words come alive, but I also write because of each and every reader. If I have made a positive impact upon you – I am honored. My efforts were not for nothing.
Please know that I do not intend to overwhelm with Doctor Who content. After all, if I am also blogging about Human Resources, what do HR and Doctor Who have in common? Well, you many think nothing BUT it is my angle. It is how I choose to separate myself from the mold and make my own voice unique.
Please subscribe, comment, bookmark the site, or whatever you feel appropriate. I look forward to the continued conversation and thank you for reading.
