MVP Presenters: Speaking Diversified
I always like to showcase other sites, blogs, and HR pros. When I’ve actually worked with and met some of them, it makes showcasing a no brainer. This was certainly the case when I learned of MVP Presenters. So, what IS MVP Presenters? Who are they? What is their purpose?
I saw a post on Facebook mentioning one of my HR buds, Victorio Milian. Some of you may recall that Victorio’s blog was one of the first HR blogs I began following several years ago. While, of course, I knew Victorio, I had no idea what MVP Presenters might be.
BUT….if they chose Victorio….well, that speaks well for THEM.
I received an email from another HR bud, Chris Fields, earlier today. I began reading the first paragraph about 7:55am, but was distracted by a phone call. I didn’t return to the email until a few minutes ago.
What a great discovery that email held! I like new things – new ideas – new objectives – new views. I discovered MVP and it held more than just Victorio amongst the ranks!
What is MVP Presenters?
From the website:
After many conversations with community leaders, conference organizers and business leaders, two things became very clear; 1.) there is a great need for new breed of presenters who are relevant, active and involved with what’s going on today. 2.) there is a great need for presenters who reflect the ever changing demographics of the 21st century workforce.
I couldn’t agree more!
How many of us have attended a conference where the content seemed the same as the content presented in 2005?
The website also states:
Today’s world looks and feels different than ever before. There are more generations, ages, sexes and races sharing the work space. Leaders have to be flexible and open enough to reach out and engage everyone. In order to encourage growth and development, your presenters must mirror the changing faces of our society to motivate and include everyone.
The workplace has changed…and continues to change. What I like most about their mission is stated above: In order to encourage growth and development, your presenters must mirror the changing faces of our society to motivate and include everyone.
