Today is not about October 06, 2013. The day is correct but the year was different. I awoke in the early morning of October 06, 1992 and I didn’t go back to sleep. I didn’t know why and I had no idea of the day ahead. Read more

I was born on June 29, 1973 in Collins, Mississippi. I am the only child of the youngest child, on my Mother’s side. I am, at 40-years old, a white male living still in Mississippi. I am not multi-racial – both parents are white. I do have Native American somewhere in my ancestry but that had been diluted by the time it reached my generation. MegaGate Broadband, Chili’s Grill & Bar and B95 Country participated in recovery efforts by collecting donations for tornado victims.
More post forthcoming this weekend.
To say this was quite a busy week would be an understatement. I can say that I’m tired, I’m spent, I’m drained….but I am happy to have a job I enjoy. It is essential that fact be remembered as there are so many who do not have a job.

On behalf of myself and all of Mississippi SHRM State Council, I would like to wish everyone a safe and HAPPY THANKSGIVING. It is often so easy to forget the things that are truly important as I know I often forget. It is so easy to get caught up in what we don’t have and never focus on the things we do. It is so easy to focus on what we wish…..not what we have.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
