Merry Christmas from HR to WHO

Within a few hours we will (should) discover the fate of Clara Oswald during the 2014 Doctor Who Christmas special, Last Christmas. Will this be Clara’s final appearance or will her portrayer, Jenna Coleman, return for another series in 2015? Or, will the episode end with a cliffhanger forcing viewers to wait until sometime during the fall of next year before finding out what happens? It could be one or both. That, my friends, is why I enjoy Doctor Who. And, with that said, I say to each and every one of you….Merry Christmas from HR to WHO!

Four Great Things About Doctor Who’s New Opening Sequence

August 23, 2014 officially ushered in a new era for Doctor Who. Fans were formally introduced to Peter Capaldi‘s Twelfth Doctor while Clara Oswald, the Doctor’s current companion played by Jenna Coleman, said a tearful farewell to Matt Smith‘s Eleventh. Fans of the classic generation know that a new Doctor usually brings something else: A NEW THEME/OPENING SEQUENCE.  Once again, the minds behind Doctor Who did not disappoint. Doctor Who: August 23, 2014

We saw him for a few seconds on November 23, 2013 and again on December 25. Perhaps, we may have even seen him before? Only time will tell; however, August 23, 2014 serves as a fixed moment in time.  Why? It’s the day upon which all things Doctor Who changes.  It is the day Peter Capaldi officially-and-completely takes the reigns as The Doctor from departing (and beloved) Matt Smith. Read more
